The Kenyatta University School of Law alumni community is reeling from the devastating news of Wakili Omari Kefa's untimely death.

Kefa was involved in a tragic accident in Ratili around Olulunga area when his vehicle collided with a lorry.

Omari Kefa's death left many heartbroken

His shocking demise left friends, colleagues, and family in deep mourning, given that he was in good health.

The shocking news sent ripples of grief across social media, with many expressing sorrow over the loss of such a vibrant and promising individual.

Joshua Ayika, a close friend and fellow alumnus, conveyed deep sympathy and solidarity with the bereaved family.

"It's with great shock and disbelief that I have received the sad news of the unfortunate death of my good friend and classmate Wakili Omari Kefa in a grisly road accident," he wrote.

Did the truck driver in the accident survive?

According to fellow advocate Evanson Kirui, the lorry driver is recuperating in a hospital in Narok.

Kefa was known not only for his legal insight but also for his warmth, kindness, and dedication to justice.

His tragic passing is a profound loss to the legal fraternity and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Tributes and condolences have poured on social media since news of his passing was shared.

5 killed, several injured following multiple-car accident

In another accident, a speeding oil tanker hit a tractor before ramming into a Probox along the Eldoret-Malaba Highway.

Lugari sub-county police commander Julius Meli confirmed the accident, saying five people died on the spot.

The oil tanker, which was travelling at a high speed, reportedly hit a tractor carrying hardcore building materials before ramming into an incoming Probox.

Meli said a manhunt for the tractor driver and his passengers who escaped after the accident has been launched.
