Reggae enthusiast Ras Bhingi has made a heartfelt appeal for assistance just four months after comedian Eric Omondi came to his aid.

In the latest development, Ghetto Radio shared a text message from Bhingi, who revealed that he was struggling to pay his monthly rent of KSh 2,500.

In the message, Bhingi expressed his worry about facing eviction, stating:

"It's worrying me; I haven't paid the rent, bro; I see myself being evicted. How are the Ghetto Radio people going to save me, bro? Come on, Buda, you're somewhere else. I'm talking to you, but come on, so Ghettoh Radio fans will save me."

When TUKO.co.ke contacted Bhingi, he confirmed his fears of being evicted and emphasised his need for support, particularly in finding a job.

Bhingi admitted to receiving money from Omondi after the comedian sorted out his previous landlord.

Omondi also used part of the money to buy him house items such as furniture.

"I really need help. I haven't paid rent. I am appealing to Kenyans to support me. But the most important thing is a job. I'm really looking for a job to achieve independence. Eric helped me but now things are not well. As you know, when someone is unemployed, they get overwhelmed by expenses," Bhingi stated.

How much did Eric Omondi raise for Ras Bhingi?

In April 2024, Omondi raised KSh 311,000 to assist Bhingi after his house was flooded due to heavy rains.

The comedian launched a crowdfunding campaign after a video showing Bhingi's flooded house went viral, sparking concern among netizens.

Omondi used part of the funds to pay Bhingi's rent for a year upfront and also took him on a shopping spree in Thika to buy new furniture.

The comedian shared a video of Bhingi settling into a bedsitter, lounging on a new sofa, and resting on a brand-new Vienna bed with a high-density mattress.

Bhingi had expressed a desire for self-reliance and planned to use the remaining funds to purchase a tuk-tuk, which he could use to earn a living.

Omondi's kind gesture was widely praised by netizens, who appreciated his efforts to help the rising TikTok star.
