Jamaican Dancehall artiste Vybz Kartel is prioritizing his health following his release from prison.

The artiste, who is battling Graves' disease, is not only working on his recovery but also inspiring his fans to follow his lead.

On Saturday, August 17, he shared footage of a gym session in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, where he is currently recuperating.

As he prepares for his first concert, slated for December, Kartel appears to be intensifying his fitness regimen to ensure he is in top shape for the highly anticipated event.

Videos posted on his Instagram page show him working out at the gym, accompanied by his attorney, Isat Buchanan, and a man who seems to be his new personal trainer.

In the videos, Kartel is seen doing leg extensions and using a leg press machine.

With his characteristic humour, the artiste joked that if anything were to happen to him during these sessions, Buchanan, former cricketer Marlon Samuels, and his trainer Bovell would be to blame.

"People, Bovell, Isat, and Marlon Samuels wah kill mi. If nutting du mi, people a dem," Kartel quipped.

Despite the challenges, Kartel expressed his determination in the video’s caption, acknowledging the difficulty but emphasizing his refusal to give up.

"First day Vincy Workout 😰 one word…HARD!..but me nuh know wah name give up! #GodistheGreatest," he wrote.

Kartel’s fiancée, Sidem Osturk, responded to the video with encouragement, saying:

"Yes baby ❤️❤️ who name give up... you don’t know them ❤️❤️," while his son, Likkle Addi, added, "Dat is it, str8 a kym 😂."
