A video showing medical students from a local university allegedly using mobile phones strapped to their bodies with cell tape has generated mixed reactions.

How were the students using phones to cheat?

In the online video, students are shown standing in the front lecture hall while others are taking their exams.

The voices of two lecturers can be heard asking a male student to reveal where the earphones taped to his hand are connected.

The lecturers then lifted his t-shirt and discovered a mobile phone hidden in his trousers.

When the earphones were removed from the phone, a voice on the other end could be heard providing answers to the exam questions.

"There are Flagella, 4 pairs which are eight in total providing mobility. That is under morphology...," the voice on the phone is heard saying.

Several students were caught using the same cheating method. One woman concealed her mobile phone in her buibui, while another male student had taped his phone under his arm.

"This is being a thief," a female lecturer is heard telling a student.

Juba lecturer threatens to give students F

In a separate incident, a university lecturer threatened to fail the entire class unless the students returned or replaced his missing cell phone.

The incident occurred during an "Introduction to Computer Science" session at the university's Custom Campus.

Hot in Juba reports that the unnamed lecturer claims that his Tecno Spark 10 Pro smartphone disappeared from his desk shortly after a lecture.

Upon his return, it was apparent that the device had been taken away, but no student had claimed responsibility.
