Vera Sidika's boyfriend, Brown Mauzo, has announced that they have parted ways.

The coastal-based singer, who has two adorable children with the socialite, shared a post thanking fans for the support, revealing they had decided to move on separately.

"After much consideration, Vera Sidika and I have decided to part ways," he said.

Mauzo moved in with Vera Sidika after meeting in Mombasa in August 2020 and were blessed with two children, Asia and Ice Brown.

"Our journey together has been filled with unforgettable moments, but we have reached a point where it is best for both of us and our babies to move forward separately," he explained.

Rumours of the two not on good terms started late last year, but they kept downplaying them.

"Our focus is now on healing and embracing the future with open hearts," he added.

Mauzo urged fans to respect their privacy as they process the breakup.

"As we embark on this new chapter, we kindly ask for your understanding and respect for our privacy during this time," he said.

Did Mauzo break up with Vera Sidika in 2022?

For a while, Mauzo had been sharing cryptic posts on social media, leaving fans speculating all was not well in paradise.

Almost two weeks ago, while Vera was in Dubai on holiday alone, the 36-year-old musician posted a photo of himself accompanied by a message, revealing he had much to share but was afraid he might cause more harm than good.

"If I tell the sorrows in my heart, it will burn my tongue. If I keep it in my heart, I'm afraid it will burn me from the inside. But if I let out, I fear it will burn the whole world. I cannot let it out, so I let my sorrows stay inside," he said.

Mauzo also shared a post on his Insta Stories about unappreciative people in his life.

"Sometimes we don't appreciate the good things till we lose them. Sometimes we don't value the people we have in our lives till we lose them," he said.

In May, Mauzo also shared cryptic posts on his Insta Stories hinting he was heartbroken.

"Life is strange. You come with nothing and fight for everything and in the end you leave everything and go with nothing," he wrote accompanied by a broken heart.

In another post, he wrote:

"I saw that you were perfect, so I loved you. Then I saw that you were not perfect, and I loved you even more."
