Former Machachari Actress Sofia Bounces Back After Healing From Heartbreak, Unveils Baby's Face

For close to a year, former Machachari actress Sharon Mwikali Mutuku aka Sofia has been away from social media and the general public.

It was a hiatus that she took to heal after a bad heartbreak that messed up her mental and psychological state.

Last-born is 2 years old

She told TUKO.co.ke that during the eight-month duration, she went on a mission of healing and getting to accept the new norm with her kids.

The mother of three says she has managed to pull herself back and feels she can face the world yet again, and even let them in on her latest bundle of joy,.

"My last-born is now all grown up and I was thinking of finally revealing her face with my fans," she started.

Sofia's last-born daughter is now year and few months old, a beautiful girl named Hinya Wambui Muhia.

Still believes in love

Despite all that happened in the past, the actress still hopes and believes that God will reward her with love again someday.

Asked whether she would prefer a marriage or love from the sidelines, she posited that its difficult to decide, adding that love in whatever form is okay as long as it's genuine.

"I hope I'll be happy in love one day, but for now I'm really focusing on myself and my kids," she expressed.

She was, however, categorical that she wants to be in a good place mentally before allowing anyone else into her heart.

Learnt to forgive

This is due to the fact that she was deeply hurt by love and needs time not just to get over it but also forgive.

"I had to forgive myself, those who hurt me, and those I hurt to first free myself before I embarked on my mental journey," she continued.

The journey to mental recovery was made possible through therapy, with the rest of the healing left for her to do alone.

From a famous teen star, Sofia found herself in limbo and back to factory setting when the show stopped airing in October 2019.

Looking to raise responsible daughters

For a woman who had made the debut on the show at the age of 19, it was a development that left her confused on the way forward.

Her woes were made worse by the fact that her then-lover dumped her when she was pregnant, after which she got into a confrontation with her in-laws over a post by her then-sister in law.

During her previous interview with TUKO.co.ke, Sofia reckoned that she doesn't refer to herself as a single mum because the ex is still part of them, and it has been amazing.

I enjoy every bit of it and hope we will raise responsible girls with God's guidance," she reiterated.
