Nairobi- President William Ruto has expressed his dissatisfaction with some members of his government.
During the performance contract signing event at state house on Tuesday, August 1, Ruto revealed that many officers were clueless about what was happening in their ministries.
"The moment I know more than you in your ministry, then you must begin to understand that something is very wrong. Because you are supposed to advise... how are you going to advise me if you have less information than I do? I call many PSs and ask them what is going on... they have no clue... and this is your department. That is the job that you have," he said.
The head of state questioned how the ministers and PSs ran their departments without information, terming it the highest level of incompetency.

Former Mukurweini MP Kabando wa Kabando has now stated that the incompetence Ruto talked about comes back to him and his deputy Rigathi Gachagua.
In an interview on NTV on Tuesday, August 1, Kabando stated that the CS and PS do not undertake anything without explicit permission from Ruto, including going on travels.
"Ruto was complaining today. What does he want us to do as citizens, he's the president, the head of government? There is no Cabinet Secretary or PS who can exit the border of Kenya without written permission from the president.
Every time the CS and PS go out of the country, they are facilitated by taxpayers; they are hosted by the ambassadors of the country they are visiting, and they have written permission to travel. So the incompetence is not on the CS or PS, it's on the president and his deputy yet they are lamenting," Kabando said.
Earlier, the head of state recently limited Cabinet and principal secretaries from travelling abroad for more than 45 days a year.
In a bid to minimise the cost of foreign trips by public servants, Ruto issued new guidelines on Monday.
In a letter seen by TUKO.co.ke, the directive, issued by Chief of Staff and Head of Public Service Felix Koskei, also suspended non-essential travel.
