Athi River - A determined young man with HIV has opened up about his sour relationship experience with a young lady.
Kelvin Barasa said he once dated a young lady who was HIV negative for two years, and their relationship went well.
However, Barasa did not disclose his status even when his girlfriend asked him what the medicines were for.
Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, he would always tell his lover the medicines were for his chest condition.

"One day, she took the medicines secretly from my bag, sought a doctor's consultation on what they were for, and she was told. In the evening, when I came home, she was as calm as usual, then after having our meal, she told me we should go for testing.
"At that point, I knew she caught me red-handed, but I agreed to it knowing that by the time the results come out, she will know my status," he said.
They went to the Voluntary Counseling and Testing (VCT) centre, with Barasa keeping his cool despite knowing his status.
His girlfriend tested first, and her results were negative, and when Barasa was tested, his results were positive.
"She insulted me, saying that I lied for two years to her despite the number of times she's asked me about the medicines I kept telling her were for my chest condition. She got annoyed and left me with the doctor. She got home and told everyone about my status," the Athi River man said.
