A hardworking cab driver has sadly returned his car to the bank's parking lot in Kitengela after failing to make KSh 130,000 in payments on it.
In a story shared by lawyer Wahome Thuku on Facebook, it was revealed that the man allegedly got the loan from a bank in August 2023 and has been repaying it religiously since then.
"Last month he fell victim to a house robbery and lost so much that he defaulted on repayments," shared Thuku about his friend.

According to Thuku, the man explained his situation to his female manager at the branch, and in return, he got a very harsh message from her.
"Let me get the car at the parking lot of the bank; I will not look for you, and you should return the whole amount. You will not give me pressure; pay the loan and come for your logbook. If you don't do it auctioneers will look for the car," said the manager in a text.
"He took the car to the bank, and it was locked inside. He is now required to pay auctioneer fees and three months' payments, among other things. Now he has decided to sell it and pay up. If you want it, talk to me," said the lawyer.
Another story revealed that a man who failed to pay KSh 14,785 was forced to sleep outside with his wife and five children after their home was demolished.
Nyahure Range had borrowed KSh 148,000 from a Sacco but allegedly failed to pay the whole amount, which led to his house being auctioned.
His devastated wife said she tried stopping the auctioning through a court order and was shocked that they resorted to destroying the house.
