Kangoya village in Kiambu county is in mourning after a one-year-old child became the victim of a marriage dispute.
Evans Kimande, 23, is suspected to have strangled his son following a disagreement with his 35-year-old wife.
According to the Kiambu Police Commander Mohamed Badel, Kimande killed their son at their home when his wife left to run errands.

"The area's Nyumba Kumi village elder reported the matter to the station, who alerted our officers. The suspect is said to have committed the crime after his wife left for work," Badel said.
According to a report by Citizen Digital, the suspect has been arrested by Kiambu police officers and is set to be arraigned.
"The suspect is in our custody; our officers arrested him and await his presentation to court," Badel added.
On Sunday, May 6, a 16-year-old girl died after her father tragically ended her life following a disagreement with his ex-wife.
The innocent daughter had visited her father in Kitengela when she met her untimely death at the hands of her protector.
The man later killed himself; Isinya Sub-County Police Command Patrick Manyasi confirmed the incident, saying it was linked to marital differences.
In March, police officers arrested a man from the Ng'ainet area in Bomet County after hacking his two boys to death.
The suspect killed his two young ones following the departure of his wife for two weeks with no signs of return.
According to the police, the case was unresolved. The 28-year-old suspect later confessed his heinous act to his parents, who alerted neighbours before the police arrived.
