Joseph, the young boy who was unfortunately killed during forceful evictions in Mukuru Kwa Reuben slums, has been buried at Lang'ata cemetery in a solemn ceremony.

As demolitions took place, Joseph was in their house, and the house collapsed on him, killing him instantly.

His devastated mum was traumatised by the sight of her son lying on the ground, covered by a leso.

In an Instagram post by comedian turned philanthropist Eric Omondi, Joseph's mum was shown dressed in black and flanked by well-wishers who had come to support her on her worst day ever.

Well-wishers raise KSh 150k for Mukulu

"The boy walking in front of the Casket is Emmanuel; he was Joseph's best friend. They were together when the demolitions brought down the walls and crashed his friend; he was lucky," said Omondi.
"We laid Joseph to rest today at Langata; his mother is not okay at all. We have paid one year's rent for and also bought household items for her. A total of KSh 150,000 has been left in the account for her so that she can open a business when she's ready. We call upon the government to compensate this woman because her son was allegedly murdered by government bulldozers. Thank you team sisi kwa sisi. God bless you," he added.
