Wilson Thuo Gichee recently acquired his truck after years of working as a driver for Brian Nderitu Kiago, aka Brayo Wa Ndarugo Mawe.
Thuo was Brayo's first driver when he entered the trucking business and remained loyal as the company grew.
Therefore, it was easy for the employer to support the employee when he felt mature enough to branch out and start his own company.

Brayo told TUKO.co.ke that he was proud of Thuo's achievement because his work ethic was commendable.
According to the businessman, the driver worked patiently and diligently until his trucks increased to five.
"He showed interest in purchasing his own truck, and I advised him to start making transactions via bank to have a good bank record. In a year's time, he managed to purchase his own truck," Brayo said.
The development marked a significant milestone in the driver's career, elevating him from employee to boss.
Brayo further praised Thuo's dedication, saying:
"When I'm overwhelmed by jobs, I share with him, and I will never forget his dedication towards the growth of my brand."
While Thuo's story is an inspiring example of hard work and determination, Brayo's decision to support him through the process is a testament to the positive impact of mentorship in the business world.
Many clients who contract Brayo hardly know his inspiring story; they only see an astute businessman who is vocal on social media.
Brayo got into the construction industry as a broker who depended on people's trucks to deliver materials to clients.
His first profit was in 2019 when he earned KSh 900 from a deal to supply machine-cut stones, but it was the jolt he needed to rouse his entrepreneurial acumen.
Four years later, Brayo is a successful businessman who owns eight trucks and operates a working quarry.
