Nairobi - Mumias East MP Peter Salasya is never one to shy away from expressing his opinions in public.
During an interview with TV47 on Friday, May 10, the youthful lawmaker expressed the qualities of a wife according to him.
The first-term MP revealed that his future wife must be malleable, drawing inspiration from biblical texts.'

Salasya explained that it's very difficult for him to find a wife since most want to stay with him in the capital.
However, the lawmaker stated that to be his wife then one must accept to live in the countryside.
"It's very difficult for me to get married. Because girls these days want to stay with you; they want to stay with you in Nairobi. You know, I want her to stay in the countryside. You see, Nairobi has many things going on," Salasya stated.
The lawmaker further stated that he was advised to pick a lady working in the banking industry or teaching profession.
According to Salasya's advisor, such ladies would be easy to live with since they might be constantly busy with work.
"So, someone was giving advice saying if you find they've said she's a teacher or banker; someone who's busy, so she doesn't bring stress to me now. Then, if you find a teacher, she'll have a principal to give her many assignments," said Salasya amid laughter.
Earlier, TUKO.co.ke reported that President William Ruto left Bungoma residents in stitches while speaking to them atop his luxurious car, from where he offered to help Salasya pay his wife's bride price.
Speaking on Sunday, August 27, the president asked the residents to look for a wife for the Azimio MP, whom he hilariously accused of being a nuisance.
In the fun banter, Ruto said the MP needed to settle down.
Further, the president asked Salasya to stop associating with Azimio leaders, such as Roots Party leader George Wajackoyah, whom he said has nothing to offer the first-time MP.
