Trans Nzoia senator Allan Chesang has made headlines with his latest innovation amid the ongoing flooding crisis gripping parts of the country.

What does Senator Chesang's vehicle feature?

In response to the inundated roads caused by heavy rains, the senator has showcased a remarkable adaptation – his very own amphibious vehicle.

Chesang's black vehicle, appropriately dubbed Alligator, has undergone significant modifications to easily navigate through floodwaters.

In a video shared on his TikTok account, the senator proudly displayed the unique features of his creation.

He demonstrated its capability to operate both on land and water.

Life jackets are also on board

"Ata ikiflood lazima turudi home. Sherehe lazima Friday," he captioned the video.
"Flooding has wreaked havoc in Kenya, imebidi Alligator imetoka Parking," he added.

The innovative vehicle boasts boat-like attributes at both its front and rear, complete with a propeller situated at the back to propel it through waterlogged streets.

Additionally, the interior of the car has been equipped with floater jackets, ensuring safety for passengers in case of emergencies during water crossings.

80 people evacuated from Nairobi building

Nairobi county politician Rodriques Mulindi said the occupants of the newly constructed apartment were at risk of losing their lives.

The landlord of the crumbling building asked the politician to let the tenants stay as he promised to rectify the contractor's mess.

Mulindi also disclosed that the occupants of the nearby informal structures were also evacuated.
