The last few months have been very difficult for Judith Gatwiri, who was thrown in a Lebanese jail and left to languish there.

Judith Gatwiri stops texting her family

Judith left for her native Meru to look for greener pastures for her family and children, who solely depended on her.

In the beginning, she communicated very well with her family back home, but after some time, the calls and texts stopped abruptly.

The family later learnt that she was suffering in jail, and her gang was very categorical that she needed KSh 40,000, which her family could not raise.

She was later brought home by strangers who read her story on TUKO.co.ke.

Now, Judith is back with her family in Meru county after an emotional reunion at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).

"I didn't come with anything on me; they took all my clothes, documents and ID, so I have to start rebuilding from scratch. When I completed Form Four, I was trained as a hairdresser," said Judith.
"Since she doesn't have anything, we are planning to start a salon for her so that she can eke a living and provide for her children. Sadly, we don't have the cash to start the business for her as soon as she would have liked," said her sister, Josephine.

Nyamira woman dies in Saudi

In another story, the family of Millicent Moraa Obwocha shared that she left for Saudi Arabia in search of greener pastures but sadly lost her life.

According to Moraa's husband, Simon Obuya, she complained of unwanted romantic advances from her employer, and she was taken to a different household.

Her former employer requested her back, saying he would stop harassing her, but that wasn't the case; although she hatched a plan to escape, she never made it back home.
