Brenda Karimi recently marked a significant milestone in her life, celebrating her graduation from the University of Texas at Austin.
In a heartfelt message shared on social media, Brenda expressed her joy and gratitude for the journey that led her to this achievement.
Reflecting on her path, she recalled the pivotal moment in 2015 when she boldly resigned from her job to focus on mentoring young girls.

Driven by a desire to serve God through this work, she never foresaw the remarkable opportunities resulting from her dedication.
That was until she applied for a chance to pursue further education abroad and then forgot about it.
"I missed the e-mail inviting me for the interview, so I was ambushed one afternoon that the panel was waiting for me," she told TUKO.co.ke.
Although unprepared, she joined the interview and presented her case to the interviewing panel.
"When I was asked why I wanted the opportunity, I said that I wanted to be well equipped on how to influence decision makers," she recalled.
Unlike other interviewees whose sessions lasted over 30 minutes, hers was short, yet she sailed through.
Brenda attributes these accomplishments to divine intervention, which she describes as a "journey of faith."
She stated that she allowed herself to further her education and expand her influence purely because of her work with girls.
"Out of 10,000 applicants, I was among the 44 who were picked, so it's a rigorous process," she said.
She believes God has shown her mercy and validated her efforts through these achievements.
Brenda recalled an incident where she was arrested for six hours because she was found teaching girls about menstrual health.
She now boasts several honours, including being an alumna of the prestigious University of Texas at Austin and a Mandela Washington Fellow Alumni.
Additionally, she is an Exchange Alumni of the U.S. Department of State, a recognition that underscores the impact of her work in empowering girls.
Citing Romans 8:18, Brenda reminded her followers of the hope that lies ahead, noting,
"The pain that you have been feeling can’t be compared to the joy that is coming."
Elsewhere, Brian Wafula Waliahula left for Australia 12 years ago in search of greener pastures.
With a pharmacy degree, he hoped to continue enjoying the high-value titles he was used to in Kenya, like "daktari.".
Wafula ran into culture shock when he landed abroad, and the only eligible openings he could secure were construction jobs.
