How did Susan Kihika respond to polygamy suggestion?

Mburu got engaged to the governor in November 2020 at a colourful ceremony in Laikipia county.

Responding to a tweet by Citizen TV where Kimani Ichung'wa praised women's leadership, suggesting that the governor's seat should be assigned to women leaders as affirmative action, Kihika wrote:

"Thank You ML @KIMANIICHUNGWAH for recognizing the great strides women leaders are making in their counties, constituencies."

A netizen responded to the governor saying:

"But accepting to be second wives is where they draw the line."

The politician blasted the netizen. She said:

"You must be confusing me with your mother!"

Netizens react to Kihika's response

Here is what they had to say:

@oketch7_antony:

"@susankihika you are an honorable governor. Kindly pull this down. We need to see a clear difference between you and a citizen including and not limited to how you interact with the public online. This type of vayolense is not good for a governor."

@koecharlesk:

"A first, second, or third wife is a wife of someone. There should be no offence of being one. A first, second, or third child is first a child of someone, and there's nothing wrong to come first or last. No one should be ashamed of polygamy."

@jhonte_:

"Kenya is a kitchen, cooking everywhere."

How did Susan Kihika celebrate hubby's birthday?

In other news, Mburu turned a year older in September 2023, and the politician shared his images on social media.

On Facebook, Kihika shared an image of Sam in a maroon hat and African attire. The snap seemed to have been captured at a past event.

Kihika urged her followers to join her in celebrating Sam while hinting that their relationship was tight.

Some Kenyans joined her in celebrating Mburu, while others opined that sharing him online was risky.
