Most schools remained closed for an extended period following heavy rainfall across the country that led to destructive floods.
The happy teacher, Marion Mukenyi, shared a video welcoming her pupils back to school.
"New term, new experience. Happy times. Be our guest," read the video caption.
In the heartwarming clip, Mukenyi welcomed her pupils in style as she joyfully danced with them.
Each one had an opportunity to approach the teacher in front of the class, greet her and dance before they returned to their seats.
"Welcome back. Term two begins today," read the writing on the blackboard with two smiley drawings.
An 18-year-old South Sudanese woman named Athiak Dau was the talk of social media after she captured the attention of many admirers seeking to marry her.
Of the many suitors, Athiak finds herself at the centre of stiff competition between two wealthy men, Marial Garang Jiel and Chol Marol Deng.
Hot in Juba reports that Marial has initiated traditional marriage rites and pledged an impressive dowry of 105 cows.
He also offered 2,000 dollars (approximately KSh 2.6 million) to secure Athiak's hand in marriage.
"However, the negotiations are far from over, as Chol is expected to present his proposal in the coming days," reads part of the report.
Chol is yet to reveal the dowry he is offering, but it is rumoured that he will pay 350 cows and a Toyota V6.
A young boy made his mum emotional following his thoughtful and selfless act of kindness.
Caroline Gikunda, the young boy's proud mum, took to social media to express her motherly delight in her son.
She noted her son was resuming school and had escorted him to Malindi International Airport to catch a flight.
"I escorted this gentleman to the airport, and while saying bye, he squeezed a KSh 1,000 note in my palm and said...'from the gifts I received at my pre-birthday party. Happy Mothers' Day belated to the world's best mama'...," part of the heartwarming post read.
Gikunda admitted she was overwhelmed by emotions as she shed a tear following her son's gesture.
Her son was in his full school uniform and had a travelling bag as he looked ready to return to school.
In a brief interview with TUKO.co.ke, the joyful mother hoped the post would encourage women, especially single mums.
A TikTok video of a man bravely carrying the casket of his little angel who died with the rest of his family after flash floods rocked Mai Mahiu has moved Kenyans.
Mobbed by fellow mourners who were trying to console him, the man soldiered on with the little coffin until he reached a tent that housed two other caskets.
When they reached the caskets, the man spoke to his family members and bid them goodbye while touching them.
"Thank you mum," he said while hugging her photo and finally breaking down in tears.
