Residents of Kericho county are still reeling in shock from the passing of Bernard Mutai, former Kipchimchim Ward MCA, Ainamoi constituency.
Mutai served as an MCA from 2013-2017, got re-elected and served until the year 2022.
The former Member of the County Assembly was pronounced dead on Thursday, September 12.

According to a statement issued by Taiwet sub-location assistant chief Philomen Koskei, Mutai's lifeless body was found in his bedroom.
However, police officers noted that investigations are already underway to unravel the incident's root cause.
The news of his demise has left his family in deep mourning. Locals, on the other hand, thronged his home upon hearing the news of his demise.
Kenyans turned to social media to mourn their leader's passing with some consoling with the family of the late MCA.
